Week 4 - When good food turns bad.

We used a 'healthy eating' website to create healthy meals (there is a link to this site on our blog).

Our fresh bread a few weeks ago...yummy!

Our bread after a few weeks left inside its plastic bag in a warm room....not so yummy.

We began to discuss what mould was, what might cause the mould and if it is possible to slow down, or stop, this happening. The students were asked to suggest how long food would stay fresh inside a lunch-box......suggestions ranged from half a day to two weeks!

Week 8

We used chenille sticks (pipe cleaners) to make human figures. Then we wrapped them in tin foil and twisd them into different poses. Finally we made sure they were strong enough to stand up and we displayed them on silver platforms that we had made earlier.

" My figure was a pop star!" - Emma

"I made one that looked like superman....it was quite tricky making the arms and legs...the head was easy" - Aston

Patience and concentration were needed to finish our 'human fugures' art.

Making and chasing bubbles on the courts

"Chasing the bubbles was fun and quite exciting....I would like to do it again!" - Olivia

The boys attack another puzzle.

"We were making a Ben 10 Puzzle, it's quite easy working on a puzzle with other people" - Jay

Making bubbles to inspire our poetry

Week 7

Our finished window paintings.

We used special paints and plastic sheets to make pictures that we could peel off and stick to the windows.

Term 3 Week 6

We used crayons and paints to create a resist inspired by Van Gogh's 'night sky'.

We decided there was too much rubbish in our school. We collected 17 bags in just two weeks...yuck!
